Ouch That Hurts!
On my walk this morning, I felt a small pebble in my shoe.
Initially, it was just a small irritation, but as I continued,
the rock seemed to get bigger and bigger. I finally sat down to
remove it from my shoe, and when I found the rock, I was amazed
that it was so small. To appreciate that a tiny rock caused
such a big irritation, I was forced to take action.
Rock And Roll
I want to be the rock in your shoe to irritate you until you
respond with positive exertion. I want to excite you to the
possibilities that are waiting for appropriate action. Just
for today, I want you to do something that you have been
procrastinating.
Guilty As Charged
Put together a list of prospects to call on. I want you to feel
the guilt when you pass by that business that you wanted to
approach, but you failed to do so. Pick up the phone and make
that call that you have been putting off. Make at least ten
phone sales calls today. Are you starting to feel the pressure?
I hope so.
Get Ridder Twitter
Stop wasting time straightening your desk or checking your
e-mail for the tenth time. Get ridder twitter for one day.
Throughout the day, stop and ask yourself, "Is what I am doing
goal achieving or tension relieving?" If your action is tension
relieving, what can you do to make it a goal achieving activity?
Goal achieving activities produce long term financial security,
while tension relieving activities produce failure and
frustration. Stop twittering around. Am I coming through
strong enough?
Open Your Eyes
Make up your mind that today is going to be the most productive
day for you since 2009 opened its sleepy eyes. Open your
sleepy eyes and see the possibilities instead of the
obstacles. Try this today, and hopefully, tomorrow you will
not crawl back into your old habits and watch the competition
succeed while you sit on the sidelines. Today you are going
to be the master of your destiny; today you are going to make
new rules to live by - just for today, of course.

Keep Moving Forward
Success belongs to those who take action. So just for today,
keep moving forward from the time you wake up until the time you
retire at night. Make each step you take a step in the right
direction, a step that will move you forward in your sales
career. Do not look back for one minute, but keep looking
ahead with positive expectation. Expect success today, and
experience the exhilaration of real sales leaders. Just for
today.
Ask The Right Questions
Ask yourself challenging questions. What would be the best use
of my time? How can I throw the rabbit and get an appointment
with that big client I have been wanting to see? Who could I
network with today? How does my elevator speech sound? Why
should customers do business with me instead of the competition?
Give Your Brain A Fillup
Read a chapter from a sales or motivational book today. Listen
to a motivational CD. Sign up to take a course on sales or
marketing. Avoid negative people. Give your brain a
motivational fillup. Just for today.
Your Legacy Begins Now
Visit a cemetery and realize that life is short and you have to
make the best of every day, especially today. You will not see
many grave markers with over 100 years carved in the headstone.
How are you living the dash between your birth and death date?
Today is the dash, and your legacy is up to you.
Who Do You Love?
Today carve out some time to spend with those you love. If you
have pushed yourself to be the best that you can be, then you
will not feel guilty about spending quality time with your
family and friends. You earned the right to enjoy yourself,
and they will see the difference in the confidence you exude.
Rock On!
And when today is over, and you take off your shoes, leave the
pebble in your shoe. You will feel so successful from today's
successes that you will want to do it again tomorrow. Today
and all of your tomorrows will add up to a successful business
career. I trust that I irritated you enough to take action.
Rock on!
